Oils Market in EgyptIndex

The oils Market in Egypt increased by 14.50% over 2018 to reach EGP 10,549.32 Million in 2019, representing a positive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.49% from 2014 to 2019. The market's performance peaked in 2017 when it increased by 29.12% over the previous year, and peaked at its lowest in 2015 when it rose by 12.22% over the previous year.


According to Statistics Revenue in the Edible Oils segment in Egypt amounts to US$1.72bn in 2023. The market is expected to grow annually by 11.99% (CAGR 2023-2027).



A contract to purchase 42,000 tonnes of cooking oil has been struck by the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC).


The GASC announced in a statement on Wednesday that the oil shipment will arrive between February 5 and 25.


According to the GASC , the state has the plan to enhance its strategic store of cooking oil so that it would last for at least six months.
